Service Area: Nacogdoches County and Nearby

Nacogdoches wears its history openly: the oldest town in Texas, brick streets downtown, and Stephen F. Austin State University anchoring the local economy. It is also a manufactured housing town. Rentals cluster near campus, and manufactured homes sit on acreage and timber land in every direction out of the city limits.

Lufkin is the regional hub of deep East Texas: the Angelina County seat, a timber industry town at heart, and the shopping and medical center for the surrounding counties. Manufactured homes are everywhere in the Lufkin area, from in-town lots to the wooded acreage stretching toward Diboll, Huntington, and the Angelina River bottoms.

Diboll is a timber town through and through, built up around the sawmills and still ringed by working pine plantations. Homes here, including a large stock of manufactured housing, often sit on lots that were forest floor not long ago, and in many cases still feel like it.

Garrison is a small town on the US 59 corridor in northern Nacogdoches County, surrounded by timber tracts, pasture, and poultry country. Manufactured homes are a big part of the housing here, most of them on private rural lots rather than in parks.

Cushing sits in the northwestern corner of Nacogdoches County, a small community with old oil and gas roots surrounded by farms, pasture, and timber. Housing here is spread out along FM roads, and manufactured homes on family acreage are common.

Appleby is a quiet rural community strung along US 59 between Nacogdoches and Garrison: small farms, pasture, timber tracts, and homes set well back from the highway. Manufactured homes are a natural fit for this kind of acreage living, and they make up much of the housing stock.

Chireno sits along Highway 21 in southern Nacogdoches County, one of the county's oldest communities, with the Attoyac River bottom to the east and the edge of the Angelina National Forest to the south. It is deep rural East Texas: timber, creek bottoms, and homes on large wooded lots.
